	IRENE NARPIER is inspired by ecological concerns. She dedicates her paintings to the trees and flowers that may never spring due to soil erosion, natural disasters, and human negligence. In an act of prescience, she was depicting a tsunami in her latest work just before a real tsunami took place in Asia.
